Every girl's favorite day, every guys worst nightmare: Leg Day!
Ok ladies, admit it, you've had your fair share of times where you go to the gym for leg day, spend 30% of your time in between reps texting, and notice the guys lined up to use the squat bar. But instead of patiently wait, you notice the guys' irritation a girl is taking 20 minutes to do her leg routine which in their mind is "so basic" because its one-tenth of the weight they could lift. It's a lose-lose situation - you're embarrased, he's annoyed. You feel guitly that your productive "leg day" is super annoying to the cute guy you were hoping to impress and now he's just angry because you are taking all day to do your puny squats, which at this point you probably have bad form since you tried to add on a little extra weight to look more impressive.
The solution: JA leg day!
I naturally have thicker thighs and great lower body stregnth. However I've always struggled to keep my legs tone. What I have found to be the best cure for toning legs is plyometrics and isometrics. Yes, weights are great, but theres no need to kill yourself on the machines when you can achieve desireable results in a much more fun, flirty way!
Squats (with medium dumbbells) 4 sets x 15 reps
Jump squats 3 sets x 20 reps
Wall sits - hold for 30 seconds, 45 seconds, 90 seconds (with 15 second breaks in between)
Sumo squats (with medium dumbbells) 4 sets x 15 reps
Jumping lunges - 3 sets x 20 reps
Calf raises 4 sets x 20 reps
